The Guided Tour

The good trails in Tulum aren't on a map. A local guide takes you past ranch land, ruins, jungle paths and cenotes most visitors drive straight past — at a pace set by your group, not a coach timetable.

Which One Suits You

Guided, or the keys and a map?

We arrange both, on the same fleet, with the same team. The honest difference is what you want from the day.

Take the guided tour if…

  • You want the cenotes and trails you'd never find alone
  • Nobody in the group wants to navigate
  • It's a first time on a quad and you'd rather have someone leading
  • You want photos of the day without holding a phone

Rent instead if…

  • You want the machine for a full 24 hours, not a few
  • The plan is your own — beach road, town, a long lunch
  • You want it delivered to the villa and left with you
  • You'd rather set your own pace and stops

The Route

Where a guide takes you

The exact route is built around your group, the season and the state of the trails — this is the terrain it's drawn from.

Jungle trails

Sand and limestone tracks through dense low jungle, well beyond the paved roads.

Hidden cenotes

The swimming stops that don't have a car park and a ticket booth.

Ranch land & ruins

Working ranch tracks and small ruins that the tour buses can't reach.

Beach paths

Quiet stretches of coast at the end of trails most visitors never take.

Included

What comes with the tour

Your ATV or buggy

From the same fleet we rent — you can ask for a specific machine.

A local guide

Someone who rides these trails daily and knows which ones are worth it today.

Helmets for the quads

Sized before you set off. The buggies have a roll cage and harnesses instead.

Cooler

Cold water for the ride, because the jungle is warmer than it looks.

Trail photos

Shots from the ride, so nobody has to hold a phone on a moving quad.

Small groups

Or book it fully private and the trail is yours alone.

Duration, route and price depend on the group size and whether you take it private — your concierge confirms all three in writing before anything is booked or charged.

Flat guide fee plus a per-machine rate, so the bigger the group the less it costs each. Three hours — roughly one riding, two at the cenote. Each quad seats two. IVA included. A licence is required for every driver.

Before You Book

Common questions

The things guests ask most. Anything else, message the concierge — we answer in minutes.

How long is the tour?

Group tours usually run one to three hours. Private tours are built to fit — anything from a two-hour ride to a full day with several stops. Your concierge confirms the exact timing with you before it's booked.

Do I need any experience?

No. Every machine is automatic — no gears, no clutch — and the guide sets the pace for the group rather than the other way round. Tell us if it's a first time on a quad and the route is picked accordingly.

What's included?

Your ATV or buggy, helmets for the quads, an expert local guide, a cooler with water, and photos from the trail. No hidden fees and no upsells on the day.

Can we have it private?

Yes. Private tours are available for your group alone, which is what most villa guests choose — it means the route and the stops bend around you.

What should we bring?

Closed shoes, clothes you don't mind getting dusty, sunscreen, and swimwear plus a towel if you'd like a cenote stop on the route. Everything else is provided.

Where does it start?

The ride base is on Calle 6 Sur in La Veleta, central Tulum — a few minutes from most villas, and easy to reach by taxi. Ask the concierge and we'll arrange the hop over.

What if the weather turns?

If a storm makes riding unsafe we move you to another day or release the hold. You're never charged for weather.

Tell us who's riding

Message the concierge with your dates, how many of you there are and whether you'd like it private. We come back with the route, the timing and a firm price — then it goes on your plan like any other service.
